Sleeping too much or not enough can have negative effects on your health and wellbeing.  This quick video explains how much sleep you should be getting at different stages of your life so you can ensure that you, as well as your friends and family, are getting the right amount.

How much sleep do you need at different stages of your life?

  • 0-3 months: 14-17 hours
  • 4-11 months: 12-15 hours
  • 1-2 years: 11-14 hours
  • 3-5 years: 10-13 hours
  •  6-13 years: 9-11 hours
  • 14-17 years: 8-10 hours
  • 18-25 years: 7-9 hours
  • 26-64 years: 7-9 hours
  • 65+ years: 7-8 hours
