Does ALDI’s new $4 spread rival a premium favourite? Here’s what shoppers have to say

Remember those simple mornings when a slice of toast spread with peanut butter was the perfect start to a busy day? Or when the familiar comfort of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich was a staple in every lunchbox?

Those nostalgic flavours often bring back memories of simpler times. Now, imagine that same comforting familiarity but with a twist of sweet, biscuity goodness. This is the latest sandwich sensation sweeping through ALDI’s aisles.

ALDI’s new snacktime offer has hit store shelves, getting shoppers excited at a budget-friendly price of $3.99. The spread, available in smooth and crunchy textures, offers a versatile option for breakfast, snacks, or dessert, with suggestions ranging from toast topping to dessert ingredients.

The launch of the limited-edition Bramwell’s Biscuit Spread has excited shoppers, with many sharing their excitement and reviews on social media.

The product has drawn immediate comparisons to Lotus Biscoff spread, a well-known favourite. While both spreads deliver a rich, biscuity flavour, one user wrote, ‘It’s just as good and way better priced than OG (original) Biscoff.’

Others have pointed out the cost-effectiveness of ALDI’s spread, saying, ‘I paid $4.50 a couple weeks ago. It’s a bigger jar than Biscoff and tastes exactly the same. Buy the original on special and this every other time.’

‘Yes, Biscoff dupe! Not as tasty but still quite good. If you like banana bread or the banoffee hot cross buns. Use this as a spread,’ another user wrote.

One also commented, ‘It tastes exactly like Biscoff.’

Despite some glowing reviews,  some remained loyal to the original Biscoff spread. A Facebook user shared, ‘$5? Biscoff goes on sale for that much often. I’d rather just get the OG.’

Creative fans also added other  ways to enjoy Bramwell’s Biscuit Spread, with one sharing, ‘I like to mix the smooth one with vanilla ice cream.’

‘Yep! Got the red one & put it in my overnight oats with banana protein powder, choc chips, crushed peanuts, greek yogurt, skim milk & maple syrup,’ another said.

One person recommended, ‘I used this in a Biscoff cheesecake! Amazing and half the price!’

ALDI’s Bramwell’s Biscuit Spread is available in ALDI stores, but remember, it’s a limited-time offer at just $3.99.

For those who’ve already tried it, we’d love to hear your thoughts. How does it compare to the original Biscoff spread? Have you discovered any unique ways to enjoy it? Share your experiences in the comments below.
