Ginger Walnut Baked Pear

While our Ginger Walnut Baked Pear is a deliciously healthy dessert for one, but why not double the recipe to serve a loved one or for leftovers the next day?

Serves: One

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pear, cut in half and cored
  • 1 tablespoon crystallised ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ground almonds
  • 1 orange, rind and juice
  • 2 teaspoons honey


Method

Preheat oven to 180º C. Place the pear in a small ovenproof dish. In a small bowl, mix the ginger, walnuts and almonds and spoon into the pear. In another bowl, mix the honey, orange juice and rind, and pour over the pear. Cover with foil and bake for 25–30 minutes until the pears are soft.
