In the ever-evolving world of frozen desserts, the arrival of a new ice cream flavour can stir up quite the excitement—or debate—among sweet-toothed connoisseurs.
Hershey’s has just announced its two new ice cream flavour offerings—with one poised to become the topic of conversation at many dinner tables.
The first of Hershey’s latest ice cream creations to hit the market is the Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Creme, a flavour that takes its cues from the iconic Hershey’s chocolate bar of the same name. This classic combination boasts a velvety white chocolate ice cream, generously marbled with crunchy bits of chocolate cookie.
It’s bound to resonate with those who cherish the original candy bar, and it’s expected to be a hot commodity in the freezer aisles.
But the confectionery giant’s second flavour, Hershey’s Choc Ripple Mint, is likely to stir up some friendly family rivalries. This 1-litre tub is a minty marvel, featuring a refreshing mint ice cream interlaced with a decadent chocolate fudge sauce.
Choc-mint is a flavour that has historically polarised palates, with some people swearing by the mint-chocolate duo, while others would rather leave it untouched.
This new Hershey’s treat, however, might just have the power to sway the sceptics and bring more fans into the choc-mint fold.
The Hershey’s Choc Ripple Mint tub will be available at independent supermarkets across the country while the Hershey’s Cookies ‘N’ Creme tub can be found at Coles, Woolworths, and independent grocery stores nationwide.
This news is particularly sweet for ice cream lovers after the fan favourite Connoisseur Jam Donut ice cream mysteriously disappeared from supermarket shelves last year.
However, Tara Cook, Marketing Manager for Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Cream, offered a glimmer of hope, suggesting that the absence of the Jam Donut flavour ‘may not be forever,’ hinting at a potential revival down the line.

American chocolate tastes like baby’s vomit – thanks in no small part to the “butyric acid” created during manufacture. Additionally, it’s likely loaded with High Fructose Corn Syrup as the ‘sugar’ (sucrose) component. A ghastly substance which plays havoc with your digestive system.
