As the leaves start to turn and the air grows crisp with the approach of autumn, Australians know that Easter is just around the corner. It’s a time for family gatherings, Easter egg hunts, and enjoying seasonal treats. This year, Macca’s (McDonald’s Australia) has introduced new desserts inspired by the traditional hot cross bun.
Macca’s has introduced a dessert range inspired by the flavours of the traditional hot cross bun, combining classic ingredients with their existing menu offerings. The Hot Cross Bun McFlurry combines Macca’s soft serve with spiced hot cross bun flavours. It is available in vanilla and chocolate flavours and includes pieces of the new Hot Cross Bun Pie, topped with caramel sauce.

The Hot Cross Bun Pie features a cinnamon pastry shell filled with a spiced fruit mix and a buttery custard filling, offering a variation of the classic hot cross bun in a pastry format. The pie is priced at $2.
Limited-Time Offer Starting Wednesday, 19 March, the Hot Cross Bun McFlurry and Hot Cross Bun Pie will be available at Macca’s restaurants across the country. These desserts will only be offered for a limited period.
Macca’s is among several brands incorporating hot cross bun flavours into new products. From hot cross bun trifles to other creative desserts, there are various ways to enjoy this seasonal favourite.
