Mixed Berry Crumble

Our Mixed Berry Crumbled makes just enough for two, and is the perfect warming dessert for winter.

Serves: Two

Time: 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups berries, e.g. strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, black berries (use frozen if not in season)
  • 2/3 cup plain flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup grated butter
  • 2/3 cup almond flakes

Method

Preheat your oven to 180°C and divide the berries between two ramekins. In a bowl, mix the flour and sugar. Toss in the grated butter and use a fork to mix the butter into the flour mixture. When the mixture resembles crumbles, stir in the almonds and then scatter the mixture evenly over the berries.  Bake for 30 minutes or until the crumble topping is golden brown. Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
