Bishop Street Newsagency, in the Perth suburb of Morley, is possibly Australia’s luckiest newsagent after it sold three separate division-one winning lotto tickets in just a few weeks.

The three tickets were won by three different syndicates – one of which had been playing together for 18 years. That group shared more than $1 million in prize money, talk about a payoff.

Understandably, the newsagent has had a steady stream of customers since then trying to replicate their luck. But store manager Peter Nguyen reckons it was just chance that the three winners came from his store, and that the real key to their wins was perseverance.

All three groups played the same numbers each week, Mr Nguyen says, with one group playing a set of numbers many would consider improbable. His advice is whatever numbers you play, to stick with them.

You just never know when they might come up.
