MemberThe World Meteorological Organisation says the onset of El Niño event means the potential for extreme weather, increased global temperatures, and possibly a harsh fire season in Australia.
It says Australia must actively consider sustainable ways to manage potential blazes. Tackling this recurring threat becomes ever more urgent as human-caused global warming escalates.
We can look forward to a summer of prolonged heatwaves and severe droughts beyond that.
It’s a stark reminder of the need for proactive and sustainable solutions in a world continually challenged by climate change. What do you think Australia and it’s people need to do to prepare for a harsh summer?

ParticipantIt’s sad, and unbelievable, that there are still people with their heads in the sand regarding climate change.
It’s also very concerning.
