You may or may not have noticed, but some items at the supermarket are getting smaller – but their price remains the same.

It’s a phenomenon known as ‘shrinkflation’ and it’s happening to more and more products, according to grocery comparison app Frugl.

Three new items have ‘shrinkflated’ since February, the app says.

They include Masterfoods garlic granules, which dropped from 50g to 45g while the price remained $3.15; Ritz original crackers, where the price has held at $3.50 despite the size having fallen from 300g to 227g; and Lindt maxi carrots, with the chocolate treat costing $17 for 354g – up from $16.50 when it offered about 20g more.

Have you noticed any other products shrinking?
