MemberChristmas movies are synonymous with nostalgia and tradition, they’re generally family-friendly and we return to them year after year.
But a new study by Preply using Google search data has come up with a most unusual festive favourite. It claims that the 2019 DC superhero adventure Shazam! is the country’s favourite. Is it even a Christmas movie?
More in sync with the theme, the universally popular Elf came in second, followed by Silent Night, Krampus, Deck the Halls, Gremlins, Just Friends, Nativity, The Family Man and I’ll Be Home for Christmas.
Some ‘gold-standard’ Christmas movies, such as Home Alone, Love Actually and It’s a Wonderful Life, didn’t make the top 10.
Do you agree with the survey? What’s your favourite Christmas film?

ParticipantSeems to me that Google has gone down the Google. How did they decide what are Christmas Movies anyway.
Home alone, Love Actually and It’s a wonderful life. Of course they don’t add the comment-“This is only on Google, which isn’t the only way to access favourite films.
