South Australians living on low or fixed incomes have received a bonus $243.90 cost-of-living payment from the Malinauskas government that should have already landed in your account.

Announced in the state budget, the extra payment is in addition to another $243.90 paid earlier this year. The SA government says if you were eligible for the previous payment, then you’ll be eligible for this one.

The original payment went to recipients of Centrelink payments, concession card holders and people on low incomes, which was defined as $21,920 per annum for singles, and $40,662 for couples.

If you’re eligible, you don’t need to do anything, and the payment will be deposited straight into your nominated bank account.
