So many childhood 1970s memories of dancing in front of my bedroom mirror to Can The Can, (which was her breakthrough hit when it went to number one in May 1973). Devil Gate Drive was my favourite and it was my desperate wish that I could get get a leather jumpsuit just like her but was told by my parents that they weren’t for five-year-olds.
They probably didn’t think they were for 50-year-olds, 60-year-olds or 70-year-olds either, but Suzi has blown that theory out of the water as the decades have passed and looks like she’s still rocking killer stage outfits in her current international tour.

Suzi was born in Michigan on 3 June, 1950. Happy birthday!
