I live in a country town with a population of 5000 peopke. Trying to get an doctors appointment can take anywhere from 1 to 6 weeks. Last week l desperately needed to see a doctor and could get one until 2 weeks l had to go to the hospital as l urgently needed some antibiotics. The hospital is not maned with doctors but nurses. What they do is call in a doctor from one practise that will come and see you. For this service you have to pay $121 to the doctors practice. No bulk billing in this town and has a greater percentage of elderly people.
