ParticipantRupert Murdoch has stunned a court in the US by admitting he knew that Fox News hosts lied about the 2020 election being ‘stolen’ from Donald Trump.
Not only did he know they lied, he allowed them to continue to lie for years.
The case is part of a $1.6 billion lawsuit by the group responsible for electronic voting in the US which is suing Fox and its hosts for claiming that there was vast election fraud which resulted in Joe Biden winning the presidential election.
Commentators claim the confession exposes Mr Murdoch to ‘cascading litigation and liability’.
Does it though? This guy has weathered phone hacking, credit crunches, battles with unions and a private life that’s just one scandal after another. I predict he will shake it off with a big fat payout to the authorities and continue on.
Should he? If I lied on such a scale I’d lose my job and probably lose all of my money, but Rupert will no doubt carry on.
What would like to see happen to Mr Murdoch?

ParticipantMurdoch should be convicted of FRAUD. Each TV anchor who promoted election lies should be forced to apologise repeatedly on each of their TV shows daily for a month. He needs to pay billions to Dominion for at least 3 years. He and his family are despicable. Why is he allowed to continue to hold a licence to own a News Network with business practices like this?

ParticipantFox and Sky News are a disgrace to journalism.
They should be made to apologise to all the people they fool into believing their falsehoods are facts.
And there should be a way of forcing news organisations to make it clear whether they are publishing opinions or news.
