Narcolepsy is a chronic sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime fatigue and sudden sleep attacks. Regardless of the underlying cause, patients with narcolepsy often have trouble staying up for lengthy periods of time. Narcolepsy may disrupt an individual’s daily routine.

Infrequently, narcolepsy is accompanied by cataplexy, a sudden loss of muscle tone caused by extreme emotion. Cataplexy is a defining feature of Narcolepsy type 1. Type 2 narcolepsy is distinguished by the lack of cataplexy. Waklert 150 is a treatment for narcolepsy.
