ParticipantStand aside Ozempic, a new contender has entered the weight loss market.
It’s called amyretin and apparently, it’s twice as effective as previous drugs on the market. It’s been reported patients have lost 13 per cent of their body weight over 12 weeks, compared to 6 per cent of previous drugs.
It’s yet another drug developed to treat type 2 diabetes and its development has boosted the manufacturers Novo Nordisk to become the 12th most valuable country in the world.
The company has yet another product in testing.I’m imagining all the headlines about how yet another celebrity has ‘worked hard’ and will be spilling their tips on how to lose the weight, when all along they have been taking these drugs.
Let hope they have enough doses for the people who actually need them this time.
What do you think about weight loss drugs? Would you take them?

ParticipantFor diabetes sufferers this is great, but supply to them should take priority over others.
