South Australian winemaker Brand New Vintage has been forced to conduct a recall of bottles of its 2021 Journeyman Shiraz, due to the presence of undeclared allergens.

The wine contains sulphites – which is normal – but sulphites are not mentioned on the label, risking a reaction in anyone with a sulphite allergy or intolerance.

The wine has been on sale nationally at Cellebrations, Bottle O and independent retailers including IGA Liquor in NSW, QLD, VIC, SA, and WA.

Customers with a sulphite allergy or intolerance are advised not to consume the product and return it to its place of purchase for a full refund.
