Product Safety Australia (PSA) has issued an urgent recall on a range of wood-fired cooking stoves and heaters.

PSA has recalled the following five Esse wood fire cooking stoves,
• Warmheart
• Bakeheart
• 990 wood
• 990 hybrid
• 1000 wood

The products have been recalled as the backplate of the fireboxes may not be sufficiently secured. If dislodged, heat may be released and cause a fire.

Consumers should immediately stop using the products and contact Esse to arrange a free replacement of the backplate. The product was sold across Australia, visit Product Safety Australia for a full list of vendors.
