This sort of “Chic” living should not even be considered. I do not see how it would pass a council inspection. This shows how money hungry some apartment owners are. I would not pay $200 a week for this cramped room let alone $520. Getting breakfast and watch your friend take a shower “whoopee!”

No good blaming the apartment owner; consider the renter. How stupid are they to pay that sum of money for that space regardless of the ‘view’?

As long as people are prepared to pay, others will take advantage.

Could not agree with you more Tood. There has been so much greed in real estate in the past yeaar, where in S.E. Qld. property rices jumped 50% or more. It seemed that people in the southern states realised they could work from home, and wanted to live in a warmer clime than Victoria or NSW ..Of course, Real estate agents suppoorted that, some wanted a Carribean holiday, some a new EV, and whatevr your mind can bring up. Up there, they ask you, in the ad for the house, “What wopuld you pay for this property ?”. and you fill in the answer, but you never know what the finl price is, or what someone else has paid. ! What I call a silent auction. I had a go at one of the agents about that berfore I called them greedy bastards

As a young married almost 60 years ago, my husband and I rented a flat in a house that had a toilet on a closed-in verandah off the kitchen. There was a door to the toilet but no door to the doorway from the verandah to the kitchen. We were told at the time that toilets and kitchens legally must have a 2 door air seal between them and officially our home was not legal. Nothing was done at the time and we moved after a couple of years. So… either it is still illegal, or rules have been changed. Which is it?
