I have only been scammed twice in my life. Flight Centre about 14 years ago and now Qantas last year.
Last year I read Qantas was holding over $2.5 billion in credits that the majority will be unable to use because of restrictions using credits which only benefit the airlines.
the Government needs to pass legislation making refunds the same as Europe or better and credits being a credit than can be used without restrictions.

We had a Silk Air flight from Chang Mai to Singapore for a connecting flight home to Australia, the aircraft was one and a half hours late into Chang Mai, which meant that we would not make the connecting flight in Singapore. We were put up in the Crowne Plaza Changi for 24 hours,, until our flight home the next night, with Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner included.
I am sure that that would not happen here !!
