WA numismatic enthusiast – a person who studies money – Joel Kandiah has announced 10 Australian coins he says will appreciate or are already receiving more than their face value return.
They are the 1966 Wavy Baseline 20c, 1972 5c, 1985 50c, 1988 20c, 1992 $1, 2000 $1/10c mule, 2012 $2 red poppy, 2013 $2 coronation, 2014 $2 green dove, 2016 $1 changeover.
The 20c wavy baseline can be identified by closely examining the 20 on the 20c coin. If the two figure has a ‘bump’ in the lower stroke you may be sitting on a goldmine, as some have sold for $4000.
