MemberEaster is just weeks away, but eggs and bunnies are in plentiful supply. Have you heard about the TikTok hack involving Cadbury hard-shell mini eggs?
Some TikTok users are advocating been melting the chocolate eggs in the microwave to make a “gooey” and “runny” treat. However, experts are warning about the potential dangers.
The idea of a warm, gooey Cadbury egg does sound pretty tempting
For one thing, if the chocolate gets too hot, it can burn or even catch fire. And even if it doesn’t reach that point, it can still get very hot and cause burns or scalds if it comes into contact with skin.
Microwaving chocolate can also change its texture and flavour.
Basically, use your common sense. If you’re thinking about trying the Cadbury egg TikTok hack, don’t overheat the chocolate and be sure to let it cool before taking a bite.
However you like your Easter treats, happy – and safe – snacking!
