A milk brand sold at Australia’s two supermarket giants is being urgently recalled over fears it may be contaminated with the E.coli bacteria, known for causing a range of illnesses including diahrrea, urinary tract infections, respiratory illness, and bloodstream infections.

Tempo Fresh Milk two-litre bottles, Tempo Light Milk two-litre bottles and Tempo Skim Milk two-litre bottles, all with use-by dates of 31 October and 2 November, are potentially at risk.

The products have been available for sale at Coles, Woolworths and independent retailers in Victoria and NSW.

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice immediately. Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund.
