A popular ice cream is being urgently recalled from Woolworths, Coles and IGA supermarkets across the country.

Peters Ice Cream is recalling one litre tubs of its Connoisseur plant-based hazelnut chocolate ice cream.

The product has been stocked at Woolworths, Coles, IGA, independent grocery and convenience stores and other food retailers.

The tubs have a best before date of 3 October 2025 and the batch number is 231004A001.

Food Standards Australia says the recall is due to the presence of an undeclared allergen (milk) and could cause serious health issues for some customers.

“Any consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance may have an adverse reaction if the product is consumed,” it says.

“Consumers who have a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.

“Consumers should return the empty tub to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
