Product Safety Australia (PSA) has issued an urgent recall on two Pirelli tyres.
The bicycle tyres are 28-622 P ZERO Race TLR and TLR Classic tubeless bicycle tyres.
The recalled tyres are marked with production date codes between 1023 and 2423.
The products are being recalled as tyre beading that may separate from the rim, which will cause the tyre to immediately and completely deflate.
PSA says the tyres could cause serious injury or death if the rider loses control of the bike.
Consumers should stop using the tyres immediately and contact the place of purchase or Pirelli for replacement of the tyres free of charge or a refund.
