Seems parties to announce the gender of your baby are the latest way to waste your money.

For me it seems the height of self-importance to throw a party to let everyone know the gender of your baby. Do people really care?

Surely everyone is going to find out eventually anyway, it’s not as if revealing it a few months early will change that.

The bit that irks me is the whole ‘surprise’ bit. It seems parents need exploding things to release blue or pink confetti or balloons or whatever. You could just write it down on a piece of paper really.

And it turns out the woman who is credited with the first one now regrets starting the trend.
Let’s nip this one in the bud before it catches on.

Have you been to a gender reveal party? Would you attend if you were invited.

For me, gender reveal parties or in other countries known as “baby shower” is really unnecessary. Not only it is an added expense but can also eat a lot of time in preparation. If you are a busy person who attends to a lot of things, I guess these kind of parties must not be prioritized.
