When do you think is a good time to speak with your kids about sex? It’s undoubtedly an important subject that you want to get right, and at an age that is appropriate for them to understand.

Some parenting experts say this discussion should begin early, between six and eight years old. Supporters of that approach say explaining about concepts like inappropriate touching can help prevent a lot of sexual assault.

But others say this is too young to be introducing these concepts to children and they are better left for when the child is a teenager and more mentally mature.

Others still don’t really talk about the birds and the bees with their kids at all, which is certainly one way to approach the matter.

What age do you think is best to talk to kids about sex?
