Our Granddaughter couldn’t say Grandad, and it sounded like Danat, which morphed into Donut. Now our business is called Donuts.
Funnily, my Dad wanted the little ones to call him Pop, but they always called him Lollipop. When he passed, all the Grandies put lollipops on his casket.
Always got Pop and my wife nana lea. The children’s other grandparent’s nana Jan but grandfather always tinkering in the shed got “Bob” we assume from cartoon builder Bob, his name is Dave. All 3 grandsons and their cousin call him “Bob”.
