I’ll go first, I hate ‘hubby’. Just so irritating and I can explain why other than it’s irritating.

Others I know hate ‘moist’ and a recent survey in the UK rated ‘amazeballs’ as the most annoying across the country.

The second most annoying word in the UK was holibobs, which I’d never heard of, but I’m already irritated by it. According to the Urban Dictionary it’s used to refer to a holiday by people who deserve a punch in the face. And that’s just the bit I can print. Never change, Urban Dictionary.

There is a heavy load of annoying words and phrases in business and the ones I hate most are ‘nimble’ usually describing a business that is anything but nimble and ‘circle back’, just stop it. “We’re a family” can also go back in the box.

What words do you find irritating?
