MemberApparently in NZ they only have Pfhzer!
Friend that flew over there [her home] six weeks ago got talking to a friend who is a nurse said she would not have the AstraZ. However my husband has had it and is about to have his second.
I am now wondering if I need to make an application for the Moderna, so that means back to the GP for more documentation and a new application, it is apparently similar to the Pfhzer.

Not everything is good, apparently in the USA people have been taking this thinking it was good for them!
Oh dear.

MemberBad news!
Hubby mistook the email about having the ok to have the Phyzer! I read it for myself and it said no.
So they have not taken any noticed to the letter the specialist said.
So much for my recovery!
The after 2 weeks the ASKO washing machine blew up I am still waiting for a fan belt.
Advice to women looking for a ASKO product don’t it is not worth the money and frustration.
We always use to swear by that brand but not anymore because the Swedish firm sold them out to a Slovian firm and we have had five yeas of rebuilding the machine even the mother board. Now they are trying to get a new belt from wherever? Think I will go and get a different brand of machine and put this old one in the garage to collect dust.

MemberHubby had a headache also, it affects everyone so differently.
Thats why there should have been a wider choice of vaccines earlier on Hola.
My Specialist said I must not have the AstraZ.
Celia
MemberWhat I would love to know is what rate are people affected over the last thirty years will all the other vaccines being given. I know both hubby and I have had a few of various needles stuck in us prior to travelling. But we never heard of the numbers of reactions to these over the years. I would love to know if and when or how many people had a reaction to all those?
Celia
MemberOkay, which hospital, when was it, and name please? Oh I know, it’s private and you can’t say…..or don’t want to say.
I can have this looked into if you are really honest.
Celia
MemberSorry to hear this Bee you sound that you are still in shock.
My 52 year old son had a reaction to the Astra, a month of testing and scanning and his symptoms have reduced, that being swollen feet and hands. But his iron levels have dropped and his Liver is apparently not right from the testing.
He says he feels better and after a month of off work he has returned but feels lethargic.
His second jab is not allowed to be the Astra… but the Pfizer so what that cocktail will come up with I don’t know.
I have known two men one my grandfather in 1966 just fell asleep and never woke up from sitting in front of the tv as did another man the same age 76. It does happen this may have been the case with your friend Bee.
Hubby and myself have travelled a fair bit around the globe and those trips have necessitated us having many jabs over the years, I sometimes wonder if these cocktails we have had at our ages has something to do with these last jab, but hubby is about to have his second jab and so far he has been fine from the cocktails; I have yet to have anything.

MemberMore Australians should travel over there it is a lovely spot that most miss, people seem to prefer to go to crowded spots in Queensland for their holidays sadly.
I had an area of this in a Thread nearly a year ago about travelling but it seems to have been killed off sadly.

MemberChloe said she ‘refuses’ to buy or even try-on a size 16 pair, because she doesn’t want to support the budget clothes stores ‘s****’ sizing.
Chloe-Mae Anderson-Maguire (pictured), 21, from Saltburn-by-the-Sea, North Yorkshire, claims she usually wears a size 8- 10 in jeans but went to her local Primark and was unable to get the size 14 pair over her bum.She said she ‘refuses’ to buy or even try-on a size 16 pair, as she doesn’t want to support the budget clothes stores ‘s***’ sizing. She posted her video to TikTok with the caption: ‘WTF Primark. I’m a size 10. I’m bloated but still!! I refuse to buy a 16.’

MemberWell I didn’t receive a reply from the PM, I got a reply from the WA Health Authorities! Vie the Federal Health Minister, who had been passed on from the PM! I have the ok to get the vaccine but they cannot let me know when!
So the GP today informed me I have to go to a doctors surgery near by to put my name down, as they have started to give the jabs with the Pfizer, talk about being long winded! Why couldn’t they have done that from the Health Detente themselves?
The email I did get was all long winded and political telling me how wonderful the Liberals are!

MemberProfessor Bruce Robinson, chairman of the National Health and Medical Research Council, believes all restrictions on the AstraZeneca vaccine should be scrapped as there aren’t enough doses of Pfizer to go around. He said the ruling by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation was ‘wrong’ and needs to be changed ‘ASAP’. The professor said he believed there was now a ‘groundswell of of medical opinion which feels ATAGI’s advice was wrong and that it needs to be publicly changed’. He said this would encourage more Australians to get jabbed as the highly contagious variant continues to spread through Sydney and now Queensland.

MemberThese are Grannies too PlanB, they are partly cooked but are firm, they are designed this way for putting into a apple pie.
Reminds me years ago when we were living in Yorkshire UK, there were no British cooking apples available in the supermarket and shock horror the few women that were looking for them didn’t know what to do! I suggested that they get brave and try the Australian Cooking apple sitting in front of them! They are very nice I said they are Australian eating apples, so they took some. I often wonder if they preferred them to what they had been used to. The Brambley is an English cooking apple but I don’t like it because it goes so mushier
Must go and cook breakfast now it is 8am! I need to also put a casserole in the slow cooker before lunch!! Hope my typing is ok I am not checking it. sigh.
