MemberThe Queen will be buried in Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel, alongside her husband Prince Philip and royal predecessors.
The chapel — inside the walls of the castle — has been the burial place for almost every British monarch since King George III’s death in 1820.
Specifically, the Queen will be buried in the King George VI Memorial Chapel, a small enclave inside St George’s. The Queen commissioned it as a burial place for her own father, King George VI, in 1962.

MemberHe won’t be allowed to wear his uniform at the actual funeral.
They even removed the ER from his uniform. Sad…very sad.

MemberOne of the most wonderful places to visit in London. First time I saw Westminster Hall and both houses of Parliament (House of Lords and House of Commons) was as an awestruck schoolgirl. Later visits as an adult to watch debates were just as exciting and sometimes greatly humourous.
The monarch is forbidden to enter the House of Commons as part of a parliamentary convention dating back to King Charles I in the 17th century. In January 1642, Charles I came to the Commons with several armed men to arrest five MPs for treason. Luckily for them, they had anticipated this and had already fled.
The King was asked to leave by the Speaker of the House of Commons. This is why the late Queen always gave her Parliamentary speeches in the House of Lords.

MemberPrince Harry served in the military in wartime. He was in the armed forces for 10 years. Who are these “Palace Officials” that decide who wears uniforms!
The last word is with the King…as a father…Charles should override this and allow Harry to wear his uniform at the late Queen’s funeral. To hell with the so called “protocol”…I feel sure his grandmother would have wanted this.
Charles did nothing much for his country, by the way!

MemberAbout the logo itself from Rob Janoff who designed it:
Janoff: Yes, funny story. The apple shape itself didn’t have anything to do with computers. It’s to get people to notice that an Apple computer was not some piece of hard-edged metal that has no place in your home and that your kid wouldn’t want to be near. Lots of different fruits have a stem, are sort of round with a leaf dangling off of it. So the bite in the apple was initially meant to indicate that it was an apple, and not something else. Also metaphorically the bite indicated biting into all the knowledge users would get out of this computer.
What’s funny, though, is after I came up with it my creative director, Chip, said “Oh guess what, Rob. You just designed something you didn’t realize. The word ‘byte’ is a computer word. And you took a bite out of Apple.” I wasn’t computer literate enough to see that initially. And I was like, there’s a bit of wit that will last! Any logo that makes a joke or engages you in that way you’re going to remember. And the rainbow colors had to do with the USP of this product. The Apple computer was the only one that could show images in color.

The Queen’s children and grandchildren greeted her coffin on its arrival at Buckingham Palace.
The King was there with Royal Family members including his wife Camilla, the Queen Consort, Princes William and Harry and their wives, Catherine and Meghan.
Princess Anne, the queen’s only daughter, travelled with the coffin, first from the remote castle at Balmoral to Edinburgh, where it was greeted by tens of thousands of mourners, and then as it was brought to London.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys,” Anne said in a statement. “Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been both humbling and uplifting.”
The Princess Royal was born on the 15th August and my own birthday is a few days ahead of hers. I have never been more proud of a fellow Leo as I am of Princess Anne.
The Queen’s coffin will rest in the Bow Room at Buckingham Palace until it is conveyed to Westminster Hall on Wednesday

MemberThat is urban legend. Here is the truth..
The company is called Apple purely because Steve Jobs thought it sounded like a nice word, and because Jobs was in the middle of an all-fruit diet when he thought of it. As for the logo its creator Rob Janoff has repeatedly stated it had nothing to do with Turing. The Apple has a bite in the side, according to Janoff, is because people wouldn’t mistake it for a cherry.
