thirty years ago it was standard practice to aspirate the needle when giving intramuscular vaccinations to ensure vaccine was not being injected into a vein. Nowadays, the standard procedure is not to aspirate as risk is remote and needle quicker to give however give enough injections there will inevitably be more instances of adverse effects resulting from giving IV instead of IM. If in doubt on benefit of aspirating then if your GP or nurse is over 50, ask whether they prefer an IM injection given to them be aspirated or not.

Mondo observes “If coffee has anything to do with life expectancy, according to the World Health Organisation the ranking for Turkey is No. 52 and every country (especially the Northern Europeans) with a tradition for drinking filter coffee has a life expectancy greater than Turkey.”

Seems compelling in the absence of evidence to the contrary.

It would be unfair to pick on David Niven, but putting him aside Roger Moore is my pick for the worst Bond by a couple of lengths. Peirce Brosnan reprising Remington Steele too much of a pretty boy in my book but way better than Moore. I reckon Timothy Dalton could have been a good Bond, if he had more opportunity, at least as good as Daniel Craig, who was great in his first movie. We will never know about George Lazenby but I think he was ok. Which I guess leaves Connery as best of the Bonds, but he had some of the worst movies. The question is who to replace Daniel Craig?

if you seldom watch tv then I guess it’s not really surprising you have not heard of some of them.

if there are enough unvaccinated wanting to fly then another airline will step in to fill the gap in the market left by Qantas – gotta love capitalism!

not happy Jan? make the unvaxxed  indemnify Qantas by taking out insurance to for costs arising from an infection e.g. deep clean, staff furlough, quarantine expenses for staff and passengers
