ParticipantHaven’t we progressed past national service? There is a distinct unwillingness to fight wars these days, as people recognize the futility of it all. Nothing is ever achieved by war, everyone, except the banks financing wars, loses. In the end there is always a negotiated settlement.

ParticipantCash is still legal tender and hopefully will remain son for the future. How can any commercial establishment refuse to accept it? Logic says that this is not legal to refuse cash for payment. If the government doesn’t take the lead on this we as consumers need to boycott such commercial establishments that refuse to accept cash.

ParticipantA great idea whose time has come. What we should be looking at though is on a state level, introducing number plates for multiple cars, as it’s done in Switzerland. You would pay the rego for the bigger car and as you can only use one, you have a smaller car to use in the city. The big car would be only used when needed or on weekends. The you just swap the number plate. This may also help with car theft.

ParticipantWho knows, it’s in the future and no-one can tell the future. Best to focus on NOW. Just got married for a second time at age 64, after having been quite certain that I wouldn’t get married again. The right person comes along and “bingo”

ParticipantRecently in Tasmania some of group travelling saw them. Very different though to what I saw many years ago in Finland. It’s certainly spectacular!

ParticipantI prefer to be cremated and my ashes scattered in the river near my home. This is symbolic of the merging with the infinite. We can see life as starting as a snow flake and ending up in the ocean, nature gives us all the clues of how it works.

ParticipantOf course, provided they fly to where I want to go and the price is right!

ParticipantHappy with existing mygov arrangements, had no problems with too many emails etc…. I prefer to work from my PC at home rather than have it all on my mobile phone which I primarily use for phone only. It saves my eyesight and is much more comfortable to work from my desktop.

ParticipantWhat has changed since 1973? more junk food and fast food, more processed food than ever, less exercise, mobile phones and computers with the associated EMF and RF pollution which we can’t see but has an effect nevertheless. And then there are the micro plastics in our environment which we also are ingesting as everything is packaged in plastic. So we DO know what is causing the fall in sperm count.
On the positive side, a reduction in world population is not a bad thing and will give nature a chance to re balance itself.

ParticipantBleach is highly toxic, wouldn’t use it

ParticipantLocation would have an impact too. Overall i agree with the assessment. Value for money you can’t beat K Mart though. Bought at least a dozen appliances there and all still work.

ParticipantBali coffee, like Turkish, is also a fine powder and prepared the same way, less the sugar. It’s the only way I drink my coffee, simple is best!
