Hello,
I’m new here. I’d like to mention something about pensions and the issue of limiting the amount of income pensioners can earn before any reduction in pension. Personally as a 74 yo and still working part-time I find this law to be unecessarily cruel, uncaring and inhumane to the people and country that the government is elected to serve. If a pensioner wants to work to create a better life for themselves, then why is this such a problem. If they don’t work, the pension is still paid out to them regardless. If they do work, then they are contributing to the economy their work experience, paying more in taxes, spending etc and at the same time having a better life for themselves which after all you only get one go at. Where is the loss to the government. There is none. There is only gain and plenty of it for the entire community and country.i would like to advocate the urgent repealing of these laws to allow all pensioners to be able to work without any limitations. Perhaps I can get support from the senior community to put this to the government. Not sure how to go about this.
Thank you
