Vegemite is a typical Australian product. As a European I certainly never acquired a taste for it; having lived in Australia for some years I have offered it to relatives visiting from overseas and without exception it was not their choice to spread it on their sandwiches or in any other form. Whenever I visited Europe, I have never come across Vegemite being readily available. In particular I find it too salty. Yet I believe Australians generally enjoy the product.

Like Jeff, I also have paid for our groceries for many years, and then pay the credit card in full when due. One does not spend more one way or another as one eventually has to pay in the end.

Fairy bread is definitely not recommended because of the high sugar content. Come on, parents, think again as to why you would possibly allow your children to consume more food with a high sugar content. Already, I am sure, in Australia, parents already allow their children at home to eat food with a too much high sugar content. Why then not encourage the very wise decision on part of the SA Department of Education to ban fairy bread sold in school canteens?

He is obviously showing his age as it is must be clear to the younger generation that the future will be governed by increasing demand for EV’s as is already happening in many countries, particularly in Europe.

The usual stupid comment without given it any thought or consideration. Even in Europe most houses are NOT black! My vote is definitely yes; ban black colored homes.

I would rather spend my holidays in the various other destinations listed. Kangaroo Island is also far too expensive when travelling by ferry as well as the accommodation provided on the island.

I have experienced no problems for many years using my card exclusively; most times I do not carry any cash at all. It is so much quicker and I cause no hold-ups at super markets or elsewhere paying for merchandise. Overseas it is particularly noticeable how most shoppers use cards only. Many supermarkets now use the immediate pay method when selecting an article. It also diminishes shoplifting to a large extent.

I personally do not think that dogs or other animals should be allowed in trains, buses or other forms of public transport, nor other public places, such as restaurants, etc.

Exactly! These animals are not native animals. Our fragile environment already suffers enough.

I am aware there is an increase of SUV vehicles on the road, but for the life of me I do not understand why they appear to be more popular. Sedans usually offer a much better ride and often cost far less, apart from the fuel expenses and maintenance, and possibly also insurance fees. Apart from being able to tow caravans, they do not offer any more advantage over sedans. They do offer an advantage to trades people, but in most cases owners hardly ever utilize the additional benefits they may perhaps offer. In our neighbourhood I often notice that SUV’s are occupied by merely one or two people only! I totally agree with the safety aspect of sedans being far more greater than SUV’s generally.

Absolutely not, unless the renter is prepared to deposit a large bond to cover eventual expenses, which should be refunded in its entirety provided, of course, the rental place is left in a pristine condition.
