TaragosunParticipantGrow your own blueberries. They are a small bush, generally grown in pots (as I do) and they produce hundreds of delicious, chemical free, blueberries.
TaragosunParticipantTuna mornay Tuesday reminded of my “Tuesday Chicken” as the kids referred to it and still do now, despite them being in their 40’s. Tuesday was Physical Culture afternoon/night and grilled chicken thighs was my go-to meal for that night.

TaragosunParticipantWe live in the country NSW and many of us purchase our goods online that are 99% of the time delivered by Australia Post. We notice the van that delivers to our home is always full of parcels – I do not think they would cope if deliveries were every second day.

If I need cash I get it from the supermarket when I do the shopping. Thankfully a lot of shoppers in our rural suburb are “older” and still use cash for their shopping so the supermarket does have cash available.
90+% of our transactions are on line or by credit card.
The local ANZ Bank has closed down in our rural suburb and the Westpac and St George (owned by Westpac) have now combined their services in the one location. There is still CBA, NAB and a Credit Union so we are pretty well serviced … still……TaragosunParticipantProviding it is a savoury hot cross bun – yes! Don’t really like the normal sweet hot cross buns.

TaragosunParticipantI use MyGov on my desktop and find it very easy to use. Emails from them have been extremely infrequent, definitely not a problem.

TaragosunParticipantCouldn’t be happier with our Austraia Post service in country NSW. We live on a 5 acre property. Years ago, they requested a bin be placed by the letterbox for larger deliveries and this is frequently used. Fortunately, there is a lot of honesty in the country and nothing has ever gone missing – although the bin has on occasion be used as a rubbish bin!
Not only that but yesterday and again this morning with rainy weather the Postie rang from the front gate to say the parcel was too large to be put in the bin, therefore warning us to pick it up straight away.

Now we live in the country and the Maggies wait each day for me to take our vege/fruit scraps etc. up to the open compost bin. I tap the empty container on the bin to make sure everything is out and within a few minutes the Maggies are in the bin checking out what has been put in it. I’m happy for them to have a feed.TaragosunParticipantOnlyDaughter, I note you live on acreage. We do too and currently are infested with lots of Bindi’s – do you have any suggestions that may help with getting rid of them, without killing the grass it is infesting. Weeding them out is impossible as there are now so many of them.

At 85 add an actual driving test – then every two years after that – until either you hand in your licence or they give you a “modified” licence that allows you to drive “locally”.
