His passing was announced on Wednesday afternoon by his fellow members of the Gold Coast-based Go-Set Club.
Tony Healey’s journey in the spotlight began on the 1960s Australian musical television series, Kommotion, where he was one of the original performers. His stint on the Network 10 series from 1965 to 1967 marked the start of a long and diverse career in the public eye. After leaving the show, Healey didn’t stray far from the limelight; he transitioned into journalism, carving out a successful path as a travel journalist.
Beyond the screen and the written word, Healey was also known for his sharp business acumen. He was involved in countless promotions and made his mark as a public relations professional. His ability to blend creativity with strategic thinking made him a respected figure in the industry.
