Osteoarthritis exercises made easy

Osteoarthritis (OA) affects about 60 per cent of Australians aged over 55 and treatment of the problem has recently undergone a radical change. Surgery is out and regular exercise and weight management are in.

Physiotherapist Jason Lee has filmed a short video for sufferers in which he demonstrates four very simple exercises that can assist sufferers living with OA. He focuses on the glutes, thighs and calves to promote balance and flexibility.

Of course, watching the video is one thing, and doing the exercises several times a day is another. But he says you should be assured that the exercises will make a difference. Good luck.
