George Harrison

George Harrison, multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter of The Beatles, was born on this day in 1943. He wrote the memorable hits Here Comes the Sun, Something and My Guitar Gently Weeps.

He later founded the platinum-selling band The Traveling Wilburys, and enjoyed a successful solo career, underscored by the album All Things Must Pass in 1970.

George passed away on 29 November 2001. We remember him fondly.
