Kids definitely view the world differently to adults.
I remember when my kids were younger, we took them to an animatronic park that was established in the 1950s. My wife and I found the displays on the creepy side, but the kids were absolutely fascinated.

All around the globe, animatronic displays continue to exist. Here are some of the most terrifying and tacky displays we have managed to find.
Fairy Park, Anakie, Victoria
I’ll start with the site I mentioned, which is in our own backyard, in the Victorian country town of Anakie.
The park was built in 1959, making it Australia’s first themed park and some of the displays are incredibly intricate and detailed.
That won’t stop some of the displays from haunting your dreams, especially the ones that dare to delve into the darker fairytales.
Marvin’s Marvellous Mechanical Museum, Michigan, United States
This museum is devoted to a huge collection of coin-operated animatronic dummies, mechanical games and other oddities. While hosting your regular fare such as gypsy fortune teller machines, perhaps nothing is quite as creepy as Dr Ralph Bingenpurge, the county food inspector. Rainforest Café, United States
This restaurant chain is big on their animatronics with different lifelike animals on display in different locations. Nearly all locations have elephants, tigers, gorillas, leopards, snakes, crocodiles, and butterflies. Elephants are typically found in a pair consisting of an adult and young with small and large tusks. Like most animatronics, these face diners from a raised area off a wall. Tigers are a relatively new addition to Rainforest Cafe, and they are normally found in groups of four, with a male, female, and two cubs. The male stands up high on a rock, while the female reclines beside it.
Monsterkabinett, Berlin, Germany
The Monsterkabinett is a run-down amusement park that comes to life. Outlandish mechanical creatures dance and sing from within their biotopes, lyricising their inner journeys.
Henn na Hotel Maihama, Tokyo, Japan
Would you stay at a hotel staffed almost entirely by robots? That is what is in store at this Henn na hotel, which is a play on the Japanese word meaning strange.
