Australia’s first all-access lounge

Melbourne Airport is now home to Australia’s first public all access airport lounge.

Located in Terminal T2, the new Marhaba Lounge is available for anyone who wants to pay no matter which inflight seats they’re sitting in.

You don’t even need to be a member of a club. Access to the Marhaba Lounge costs $65 for a four-hour stay. Children under 12 cost $35.

The lounge has 26 staff and features all the benefits of a first-class lounge: free wifi, food buffet, coffee, wine and areas for passengers to refresh and recharge.

If you fly with partner airlines JAL, Xianen and Tianjin, you’ll have free access to the lounge.

Currently, the lounge is open from 6am to midnight. Passengers can pay upon entry or, as there is only room for 200 people, pre-book via www.marhabaservices.com.

Would you use this service? Do you know of a better arrangement?
