Human Services subsidy scam

Hitting those who can least afford it is a low act, so be on the lookout for the following email landing in your inbox and hit delete.

Firstly, note the ‘&’ instead of ‘and’ and secondly, the symbol for secure message is not one that is universally recognised.

Next, the information asked for below should be held by Human Services and certainly would not be requested by email.

And lastly, by giving the details requested below, you are essentially giving access to your identity and possible identity theft.

If you receive such a message, don’t respond. If you’re not comfortable hitting delete, then contact Human Services to verify the authenticity of the email.
