A different side of Hong Kong

Known for its ultra-modern architecture, bustling neighbourhoods and sleek design, there’s also a dramatically different side to Hong Kong that will appeal to your wild side.

National Geographic photographer Matthieu Paley has seen some impressive landscapes. So when he says he’s blown away by Hong Kong’s great outdoors, you can be assured that this area is pretty special.

The city is surrounded by mountains. Just across from the Hong Kong hub, you’ll find more than 260 islands and amazing landforms conjured up by Mother Nature millions of years ago.

This video captures the rugged splendour of Hong Kong’s natural beauty.
