Best place for a relaxing soak

There’s no better way to end a long day on the road than with a soak and a float in Katherine Hot Springs, which were right behind the caravan park in which we were staying (Riverview Caravan Park).

The springs may only be lukewarm, but that’s OK, it was 30-something degrees when we were there in August. And while signs say crocodiles do occasionally enter the area, it doesn’t seem to worry locals. So if it was good enough for them, it was good enough for me.

If you were anywhere else in the world you’d have to pay to get wet, but these springs are free.

And no, that’s not me in the bathing cap!
