Roy Morgan has released its latest research into travel intentions and it shows that Baby Boomers are among those most likely to travel for a long time.

The research shows that nearly 14 million Australians aged 14+ are intending to take a holiday in the next 12 months, with 69.2 per cent of the Boomer population (those born between 1946–1960 for the purposes of the Roy Morgan survey) planning a holiday in the next 12 months.
Generation X (those born between 1961–1975) and Baby Boomers led the way when considering which generation intended to take a trip of three nights or more in the next 12 months.
Approximately 55.9 per cent of Baby Boomers planned on taking a trip of over three nights in the next 12 months, only slightly behind Generation X (56.3 per cent).
“Looking forward to your holidays is one of life’s great joys (and motivators),” said Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine. “While Baby Boomers and Gen X can likely afford to take longer holidays with kids grown up and out of the house and gearing toward retirement, the more career-focused Millennials are living life fast and looking for that quick getaway.”
