Coolest place to cool off

During my career as a travel writer, I’ve been lucky to stay at some pretty ritzy hotels with some pretty ritzy pools, but the plunge pool at the top of Gunlom Falls in Kakadu has to be one of the best wet-edge pools in the universe.

To get there, the climb is hot and sweaty, up a steep rocky track, but just look at the view! Even better is to stay in the campground, which doesn’t come with a five-star price tag.
