Fly for less—Qantas drops fares to $99

Are you yearning for a change of scenery or dreaming of a relaxing getaway? Now might be a great time to plan your next trip, as Qantas has launched a new sale on select routes. With one-way flights starting at a mere $99, this is the perfect opportunity to explore some of Australia’s most beloved destinations without breaking the bank.

Whether you’re planning to soak up the sun over the Easter and ANZAC day long weekends or looking to schedule a mid-year escape, Qantas has you covered. The sale includes a variety of travel periods throughout 2025, particularly in the months of April, May, and June. But you’ll need to act fast—these hot deals are available only until 11:59pm (AEDT) on March 27, 2025, or until they’re all snapped up.

The discounted fares apply to destinations like the Whitsunday Coast, Adelaide, and Sydney. Some of the standout deals include Adelaide to Kangaroo Island, Brisbane to Whitsunday Coast, Ballina to Sydney, and Launceston to Melbourne.

Qantas Frequent Flyer members can also redeem points for discounted fares. With Classic Plus, you can score flights for as little as $45 plus points. Here’s a glimpse at what’s on offer:

  • Ballina (Byron) to Sydney for $99 or 5,400 points + $45
  • Launceston to Melbourne for $99 or 4,400 points + $55
  • Gold Coast (Coolangatta) to Sydney for $109 or 5,200 points + $57
  • Sunshine Coast (Maroochydore) to Sydney for $119 or 6,400 points + $55
  • Brisbane to Sydney for $129 or 7,200 points + $57

And for those with an eye on international travel, Qantas hasn’t forgotten about you. The airline is offering deals on overseas flights, including $999 trips to the tropical paradise of Hawaii. If North America is calling your name, you can jet off to Los Angeles for $1149 or explore the natural beauty of Vancouver for just $1399.

In addition, the Click Frenzy Travel sale begins on March 26, offering further discounts on travel packages and is set to launch on March 26 at 7:00pm AEDT. The bi-annual event features discounts on flights, accommodation, and travel packages. According to Money Expert Joel Gibson, this time of year is ripe for travel deals, with the northern ski season in Japan opening for bookings and the European summer just around the corner.

With so many travel opportunities available, this sale presents an exciting chance to explore new destinations or revisit old favourites at a great price. Whether you’re planning a quick getaway or a longer adventure, these deals offer flexibility and value for a range of travellers.
