Standing under the Lion Gate

Lorraine’s selfie standing underneath the famous Lion Gate at Mycenae on the Pelopennese peninsula is this week’s best travel selfie winner. You too can win big when you enter our best travel selfie competition.

I travelled to Greece in 2015 with fourteen other pilgrims as we travelled in the footsteps of St Paul, whose missionary journey from Thessalonika to Corinth is well documented in the New Testament. We also enjoyed a lesson in Greek history and mythology supplied by our own Greek guide, Dionysius. This is a picture of me standing underneath the famous Lion Gate at Mycenae on the Pelopennese peninsula.
