Serves: 24 slices
Time: One hour and 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 225g butter
- 225g caster sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
- pinch salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 4 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 1/2 packets Marie biscuits, broken into small pieces
Method
In a saucepan over a low heat, melt the butter, sugar and vanilla essence with a pinch of salt. Add the eggs, cocoa and biscuits, and stir while still over low heat. Pour into a greased tin and smooth out. Leave in the fridge for one hour and then cut into small pieces once set.
Note: you can even add some glacé cherries into the mix!
