Time Out has just released their annual City Life Index. Quizzing 15,000 people worldwide, the index ranks the world’s cities by how ‘exciting’ they are. Here’s the top 5.

Australia was well represented with Sydney also making an appearance at number 28.
At the other end of the list, coming in at second to last (the least exciting city went to Istanbul) was Singapore.
The local culture (or perhaps lack of?) was quoted by Time Out as being a large factor in the city’s low ranking.
Not everyone agreed with the decision, Singapore, naturally, was quite offended, hitting back with a post on their Facebook page and a video that says otherwise.
VisitSingapore’s post reads: “Yeah, Time Out London, we’re pretty “unexciting”.”
